Decorating the Christmas tree is surely the most exciting part of holiday decor, but what about the rest of the house? While we don’t suggest turning your entire home into a giant Christmas themed snow globe, we do think every corner of the house deserves a bit of festive cheer. A little creativity will go a long way this holiday season, so go on and try these clever tips for decorating indoors.

Magical Christmas Decor for the Bedroom

Give your days a magical start with some cozy Christmas decor. While you put all your efforts into making sure that your living room looks divine, save some decorations and use them in the bedroom.

All it takes is a nice wreath and some gorgeous accents. Invest in some Christmas theme cushion covers that you can reuse every year, or some red and green linens that you can spread around the room to create that look.

I personally like to keep it minimal in the bedroom, but you can even add some small Christmas trees around the room. Make sure you don’t overdo the decor or it might make your room feel cluttered.

Spread the Christmas Cheer in the Kids’ Room

Nobody enjoys Christmas more than the kids, so make their room feel extra special for the holidays.

A small Christmas tree with some tiny gifts in their room is the perfect way to let them be creative with the decorations. You can even start a fun project and ask them to make their own ornaments. Some Santa and reindeer figurines will add a magical touch, and help with the Christmas theme bedtime stories.

Cute blankets and Christmas theme bedcovers will get the kids excited as well. You can even add some extra lighting in the room, but make sure it doesn’t disturb the kids in their sleep.

Don’t Leave out the Bathroom

Why leave out the bathroom from all the holiday cheer! It is probably the easiest part of the house to decorate.

I prefer a small wreath and some pine cones spread around the sink. If your bathroom is spacious, you might want to add more accessories. Also, a Christmas message or quote will help in livening up the space.

A Dash of Christmas in Your Kitchen

Most modern homes have an open plan kitchen right next to the living area. While there is a lot of festive fun and decoration in the living room, the kitchen will look sad without any decor.

Use the window sill for decorating by adding some tiny trees and ornaments, or hang some small wreaths near the cabinets. Make sure nothing hinders you from actually using any of your appliances and always consider fire safety while decorating. You can also use your cake stands to create a small hot beverage corner. It will look gorgeous on the kitchen island.

Also, make sure the decor blends well with the style of your kitchen. For example, if you have an all-white kitchen, you might want to add a snowy winter wonderland decor.

Deck the Stairwell

Staircases look splendid with some Christmas decorations around them. Use them as an extension of your living room decor, and continue the same theme leading up to the bedrooms.

You can be as lavish or minimal as you like, but it spreads the joy and visual delight. You can even hang your stockings on the staircase if you don’t have a mantelpiece in the living room.
