Founded in 2006, Ghana ThinkTank is an international artist collective which aims to overturn the traditional power dynamics of international development. In short, they call upon the so-called ‘third world’ to solve the problems faced by people living in more ‘developed’ countries. As of 2019, the group is led by Christopher Robbins, John Ewing, Matey Odonkor, and Maria Del Carmen Montoya. After collecting problems in ‘first world’ countries, Ghana ThinkTank ask their global network of think tanks to think of practical solutions. Notable projects include the American Riad and Mobile Mosque.
