Can’t seem to go a day without checking social media? Don’t worry, we’re all on the same boat. From keeping up with our closest friends to receiving emails for work, it’s hard to peel away from the grip of the world-wide web. That’s why it’s important to create safe spaces at home where we can unwind without worries. Let’s take a look at NONAGON.studio‘s render of the week – featuring a chic Scandi-style bedroom making the case for tech-free zones.
Making No Room for Distractions in Scandi-Style Space
The bedroom is where we get our much needed rest after a long day of work, so it’s best to keep it pared-down and simple.
While some go as far as dedicating an entire room to meditation, the simple act of removing gadgets from the bedroom can make the biggest difference. Instead of housing a television, this bedroom makes plenty of space for a collection of books, photographs and other paraphernalia. The walls are adorned with thoughtful art pieces that are consistent with the room’s neutral palette and there’s an abundance of potted plants that add a touch of zen to the space.
If you’re fan of hygge, it’s easy to spot the details that make this room the ultimate haven. The bed itself provides a warm accent to the white room, with its soft gray and brown hues inviting calm into the space. Beside the minimal desk and chair, a beige curtain drapes to the floor visually lengthening the window. But most importantly, a nice vignette of scented candles by the window puts the cherry on top, reminding you to relax and take things easy.
