Born and raised in the UK, Jess is NONAGON’s resident historian turned marketer turned writer, drawn to Hong Kong by the lure of dim sum breakfasts and bustling city life. A foodie who loves to cook, food occupies 70% of her brain 90% of the time. When not eating, Jess can typically be found buried in a book or obsessing over making NONAGON’s Instagram #feedgoals.

Even if you’re short on space in your home, I would always recommend making room for a home office. Whether it’s a desk in that spare nook in your hallway, or a dedicated room complete with a fancy swivel chair and lines of bookshelves, it always helps to have a dedicated space to get those creative juices flowing. In this edition of Spotted on Instagram, I’m rounding up the very best home office design pics to inspire you to create your very own haven of productivity. #DeskInspo here we come!

Kinfolk Inspired

A home office doesn’t have to take up much room. Just take a look at Nora and Laura’s kinfolk-inspired nook as a case in point.

The rustic desk has room enough for a spot of writing. Just make sure not to clutter your space with too many unnecessary accessories – a simple vase with a single flower stem should do.

Simply Scandi

If you love all things Scandi then pay close attention to Cara Irwin’s home office setup.

I’m loving the mix of wood, metal and matte textures here which work to create a casually chic aesthetic. A fun glitter disco ball adds just the right amount of personality to the space. Who says work has to be boring?

Plant Power

Adding plants to a work space carries proven wellness benefits, from purifying the air to improving focus levels; so why not make it the presiding theme of your home office design, a la Katie Woods?

Here, the bold jungalow statement wallpaper is grounded by a solid metallic desk. I especially love the touch of kitsch courtesy of the mannequin planter.

Vintage Whimsy

For anyone who says a workspace can’t be pretty, think again, for Kristy’s desk is as pretty as a picture.

Elegant paper fans and a vintage radio add a whimsical feel to this home office. To jazz up your own desk, consider adding decor and cutouts under the glass tabletop.

Monochrome Sophistication

For a sophisticated take on home office design, make like Rachel Fawkes and think monochrome.

If you’re more of a dreamer, swap out the oversized calendar for a print of your choice. Or if you’re the kind that needs a little more encouragement when it comes to getting things done, how about putting up a motivational decal?

Cozy Chic

Susanna’s cute writing corner looks like it belongs in a cozy rustic hideaway.

To get that traditional antique look without it costing a fortune, opt for furnishings in deep rich wood tones and say hello to instant character.
