More than a passing trend, the art of repurposing broken furniture and other unwanted materials has become a way of life for designer Francis Kirstein. Based in Hong Kong, the architecturally-trained Kirstein spends his days transforming trash into design treasure via his design studio, Tectonihks. Among his repurposed furniture gems sits a wine barrel turned cozy pet bed, and an old cymbal stand revamped into a delicate floor lamp. Check out the video to find out more!
